I offer consultations, assessments for therapy, brief or long-term therapy from my consulting room off Well Street in Hackney, East London. I specialise in work with teenagers and young adults (up to 25 years old). I also work with parents who are seeking help to understand and support their child.
I’m registered with the Association of Child Psychotherapists, the leading professional association for child psychotherapists in the UK. Membership of the Association of Child Psychotherapists takes into account the most extensive training in child psychotherapy in the whole country. All full members have trained for a minimum of 7 years, often longer, as it takes a long time to learn about young people’s developing minds.
Child and adolescent psychotherapists who have trained with the ACP are a core professional group within the NHS child and adolescent mental health workforce. As well as the development of my private work, I have been employed in the NHS for the past 19 years in a variety of children’s mental health services, including in a management role. I am experienced in working with a wide range of mental health issues, including neurodiverse and more perplexing presentations.
I can also be contacted to give seminars/presentations on adolescent and young adult mental health from psychoanalytic and child development research perspectives.
